Dear Rodeo News,

I’ve been having trouble finding motivation to go to school. Every morning seems like a dread and from the moment I walk in the doors, I want to go home. I know I need to attend in order to be successful, but sometimes I just want to give up. How can I grow a different perspective on things and be more self motivated to attend?

Dear Anonymous Student,

As tough school life can get, it’s always important to keep up the hard work throughout the full year. Try to pick up habits like getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep, eating a good breakfast, snacking throughout the day, staying caught up on homework and knowing it will be all worth it in the end. Have integrity and determination to do all you need to for a successful future, accomplishing all your lifetime goals.

“’I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.’(Walden, 3)

This famous quote was made by Henry David Thoreau who was a philosopher in the late 1800’s. He is essentially saying success will be yours if you follow your dreams. Making a checklist and attaining your objectives is a great way to start. Know you can do it, because you can! Don’t ever doubt yourself or your ability to keep on working hard. Always remember: If you tried your best, that’s all that matters.
