The tropical storm Hurricane Harvey first formed in the Atlantic Ocean on August 25 of 2017. Hurricane Harvey is a category four hurricane, it is so disastrous it has moved more than thirty thousand people from their home. Hurricane Harvey started in August 25 of 2017 and ended in September second, 2017. Hurricane Harvey has affected many areas likes Texas, Louisiana, Belize, Nicaragua, and Honduras.

“At least 70 texas deaths on Harvey” (Time). Most of the people who died drowned. Hurricane Harvey is one of the most expensive natural disaster to recover from costing about $125 billion dollars to recover from. “It rained so much from harvey it can fill the salt lake twice and from all the rain you can fill the empire state building 33,000 times.” ( Matthew Cappucci)

When the tropical storm hit many people were leaving their pets in cages or some of them took their pets with them to get away from the disastrous Hurricane. A woman in New Orleans save more than 100 animals from Hurricane Harvey. In an interview she had with CBS News she said “I started making calls and saying ‘Hey, I have room. Let’s save some lives,”.
